Ray A. Williams

Biography

Born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago, Ray A. Williams is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Medical Massage Practitioner, artist, educator, and community advocate. His practice is centered on listening to the body, understanding each client’s individual experience of pain, and identifying the underlying sources of discomfort. Through trigger point therapy and outcome-based massage, Ray helps clients improve function, reduce muscular tension, manage stress, and support long-term wellness.

Professional Experience

Ray has developed a successful massage therapy career serving clients throughout the Chicago area. As a Medical Massage Practitioner, he continues to advance his clinical skills in support of clients experiencing TMJ discomfort, joint and postoperative pain, low-back pain, fibromyalgia-related symptoms, muscular tension, headaches, stress, anxiety, and exercise-related recovery needs. He is also a co-founder of the Light Center Wellness Education Collective, an initiative created to provide mentorship for massage therapists and practical wellness education for the community.

Judging Experience

Co-Director of the Illinois Massage Championships 2027, contributing to championship planning, professional standards, judge coordination, competitor experience, and the continued advancement of the massage therapy profession in Illinois.
